of <h1>India Raises Urad Import Quota to 4 Lakh MT for 2019-2020; Applications Open for Millers and Refiners.</h1> The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has increased the import quota of Urad from 1.5 lakh MT to 4 lakh MT for the fiscal year 2019-2020. Millers and refiners with their own processing capacity are invited to apply online for the additional 2.5 lakh MT allocation. Applications must include a self-certified document of processing capacity, proof of fees, and be submitted between December 20 and December 31, 2019. Quotas will be distributed based on processing capacity and demand, with imports required to arrive by March 31, 2020. The Directorate General of Foreign Trade reserves the right to amend allocations.
