of <h1>Deadline for Importing Additional Urad Quota Extended to May 15, 2020, Due to COVID-19 Lockdowns.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, issued a trade notice extending the deadline for importing an additional quota of 2.5 Lakh MT of Urad for the fiscal year 2019-20. Initially set to conclude by 31st March 2020, and later extended to 30th April 2020, the deadline has been further extended to 15th May 2020 due to COVID-19 lockdowns. Importers are instructed to ensure imports arrive at Indian ports by this date, with no further extensions to be granted. This decision was approved by the competent authority.
