<h1>Membership Rules Under Societies Registration Act, 1860: Arrears Over 3 Months Disqualify Voting Rights and Membership Count.</h1> For the purposes of the Societies Registration Act, 1860, a member of a society is defined as an individual who has been admitted according to the society's rules, has paid a subscription, or has signed the roll or list of members, and has not resigned as per the rules. However, in proceedings under this Act, any person whose subscription is in arrears for more than three months is disqualified from voting or being counted as a member.
