<h1>Information Commissioners Can Be Removed for Insolvency, Misbehavior, or Conflict of Interest, Per President's Authority and Court Inquiry.</h1> The Chief Information Commissioner or any Information Commissioner can be removed from office by the President on grounds of proven misbehavior or incapacity, following a Supreme Court inquiry. During the inquiry, the President may suspend the Commissioner. The President can also remove the Commissioner if they are insolvent, convicted of an offense involving moral turpitude, engage in outside employment, are deemed unfit due to infirmity, or have interests affecting their duties. If involved in a government contract for personal gain, the Commissioner is considered guilty of misbehavior.
