Additional director appointments gain tighter tenure limits and prior member approval is required for previously unapproved director candidates. Amends the company law framework governing additional directors, alternate directors and appointments against casual vacancies by aligning the tenure of board appointments with the next general meeting or a three-month limit, whichever is earlier. A new restriction requires prior approval of members before the Board may appoint, under this section, a person whose earlier appointment as director could not be considered or approved in a general meeting, thereby tightening board discretion in director appointments.
