<h1>High Court Judges' Retirement Age Raised to 62 by 15th Amendment; President Decides Age Disputes After Consulting Chief Justice.</h1> Article 217 of the Constitution was amended by the Constitution (15th Amendment) Act, 1963. The amendment increased the retirement age of High Court judges from sixty to sixty-two years. Additionally, a new clause was added, stating that if any question arises regarding the age of a High Court judge, the President, after consulting with the Chief Justice of India, will make the final decision on the matter.
