of <h1>Finance Act 1987 amends Income-tax Act Section 33AB(5), updating assessment years to 1986 and 1987. Effective April 1, 1988.</h1> Section 33AB of the Income-tax Act has been amended by the Finance Act, 1987. In sub-section (5), the phrase 'assessment year commencing on the 1st day of April, 1986, and the four assessment year next following that assessment year' is replaced with 'assessment years commencing on the 1st day of April, 1986, and the 1st day of April, 1987.' This change is effective from April 1, 1988.
