Territorial extent and commencement: Chapter applies nationwide and comes into force on government notification in official gazette. The Chapter applies to the whole of India and comes into force on a date appointed by the Central Government by notification in the Official Gazette, thereby vesting in the Central Government the discretion to fix the commencement date through formal notification as the prescribed trigger for entry into force.
