Rule 10A: Central Processing Center to Review Company Filings Nationwide, Excluding Section 399, Within 30 Days.
Rule 10A of the Companies (Registration Offices and Fees) Rules, 2014, establishes the Central Processing Center (CPC) for examining applications, e-Forms, or documents filed under the Companies Act. The Registrar of the CPC must decide on these filings within 30 days, excluding cases requiring higher authority approval. The Registrar has nationwide jurisdiction over specific filings, including resolutions, share capital alterations, company conversions, and others listed under sub-rule (4). Multiple filings are processed together. However, the CPC Registrar does not have powers under section 399, which remain with the territorial Registrar. This rule was inserted effective February 16, 2024.
