of <h1>Rule 4 of Customs Rules 2023 forms Evaluation Committee for value declaration of imported goods, led by key officials.</h1> Rule 4 of the Customs (Assistance in Value Declaration of Identified Imported Goods) Rules, 2023, establishes an Evaluation Committee comprising the Additional Director General of Valuation as the Convenor, the Additional Director General (Headquarters) of the Directorate General of Revenue Intelligence, the Additional Director General of the National Customs Targeting Centre - Cargo, and members of the Working Group on Valuation from the National Assessment Centre. The Directorate General of Valuation serves as the Secretariat. The committee is tasked with meeting regularly to efficiently fulfill its responsibilities as outlined in the rules.
