Penalty for contravention in limited liability partnerships now prescribes a fixed monetary sanction for non-compliance with duties. The amendment substitutes sub section (2) of section 21 to provide that if a limited liability partnership contravenes the provisions of that section, the partnership shall be liable to a penalty of ten thousand rupees, thereby imposing a fixed monetary sanction on the partnership for non compliance.
