<h1>2015 Rules Detail Appointment Process for Customs and Central Excise Settlement Commission Leadership Positions</h1> The Customs and Central Excise Settlement Commission's 2015 Rules outline the qualifications and recruitment methods for appointing the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and Members. The Chairman is selected from serving Members with at least six months of service remaining. The Vice-Chairman is the senior-most Member of each Bench, excluding the Principal Bench. Members are appointed from serving Chief Commissioners or equivalent ranks. All appointments are made by the Central Government based on recommendations from a Selection Committee, including the Cabinet Secretary and Secretaries from the Departments of Revenue and Personnel and Training.
