Registrations granted by the Board are permanent unless suspended or canceled. Registrations granted before the 2008 amendment are also deemed permanent. Investors must file specific forms at least three months before the certificate's expiry or within three months of the regulation's commencement. Investors may surrender their certificates, and the Board may impose conditions upon acceptance of surrender. Prior to the 2008 amendment, certificates were valid for three years.
