<h1>Foreign Institutional Investors Must Obtain SEBI Certificate for Securities Trading Under 1995 Regulations; Use Form A for Application</h1> No person may engage in securities transactions as a Foreign Institutional Investor (FII) without a certificate from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) under the 1995 regulations. Applications for this certificate must be submitted in Form A. Applications submitted before these regulations commenced are considered valid under the current regulations. Additionally, individuals registered under prior Government of India Guidelines as FIIs can continue trading in securities until a certificate is either granted or denied under these regulations.
