of <h1>Central Government Appoints Authority Leaders with Fixed Salaries; Terms Limited by Age and Pension Adjustments.</h1> The Chairman and Members of the Authority are appointed by the Central Government based on a Selection Committee's recommendations. The Chairman receives a fixed monthly salary of 2,25,000, with allowances similar to a Central Government officer, adjusted for pension if retired. The Technical Member receives 2,05,400 monthly, with similar allowances, also adjusted for pension if retired. Both the Chairman and Technical Member serve two-year terms or until age sixty-five, whichever is earlier, and may be reappointed. Candidates for Chairman or Technical Member roles must be under sixty-two at selection.
