Anti profiteering rules create statutory obligations under GST law and apply nationwide except one region upon gazette publication. The Central Government notifies the Anti profiteering Rules, 2017 under its statutory rule making authority within the GST framework. The rules extend to the whole of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir and shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
