of <h1>Companies mediation and conciliation: Rule 26 fixes hearing within 14 days to record settlements and pass orders accordingly.</h1> Rule 26 of the Companies (Mediation and Conciliation) Rules, 2016 prescribes that upon receipt of the mediator's report a hearing shall be fixed normally within fourteen days to record any settlement and pass an order implementing its terms; if accepted, the settlement is recorded and an order is framed in accordance with those terms. Where settlement resolves only some issues, the authority shall record and order on those terms and continue proceedings to decide the remaining issues without treating the matter as finally disposed.
