of <h1>Settlement Application Submission Rules for Customs and Central Excise: In-Person or Registered Post Only</h1> A settlement application under the Customs and Central Excise Settlement Commission Procedure, 1999, must be submitted by the applicant in person to the secretary at the commission's headquarters in New Delhi, or at the relevant Bench's jurisdiction, or to an officer authorized by the secretary. Alternatively, it can be sent via registered post addressed to the secretary. An application sent by post is considered officially presented on the day it is received at the commission's office.
