Acceptance of deposits restrictions: repatriation prohibited for companies, non repatriation permitted subject to schedule conditions. Companies and statutory bodies are barred from accepting deposits on a repatriation basis from non resident Indians or persons of Indian origin, with renewals of existing repatriable deposits permitted solely under Schedule 6; companies, statutory bodies, proprietary concerns and firms may accept deposits on a non repatriation basis only subject to Schedule 7 conditions, and a former provision allowing commercial paper issuance to such persons subject to safeguards has been omitted.
