          <h1>Restriction on specified payments expanded to recognise electronic clearing through bank accounts as an authorised non-cash mode.</h1> The statutory restriction that limited accepted instruments to cheque or account payee bank draft is amended to also include electronic clearing system through a bank account, thereby making electronic clearing an express alternative to physical negotiable instruments for compliance with the limitation on receipt of specified payments.
