Effective April 1, 2014.</h1> The Companies (Inspection, Investigation and Inquiry) Rules, 2014, established by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, were enacted under the authority of various sections of the Companies Act, 2013. These rules supersede the Companies (Central Government's) General Rules and Forms, 1956, and any other relevant rules under the Companies Act, 1956, except for actions taken or omitted before the supersession. The rules are officially titled as such and became effective on April 1, 2014.
