<h1>Security Deposit Required for Company Investigation Under Section 210(3); Refundable if Prosecution Follows</h1> The Central Government, before appointing an inspector under section 210(3) of the Companies Law, may require the applicant to provide a security deposit for investigation costs. The security amount varies based on the company's turnover: Rs. 10,000 for turnover up to Rs. 50 crore, Rs. 15,000 for turnover between Rs. 50 crore and Rs. 200 crore, and Rs. 25,000 for turnover exceeding Rs. 200 crore. If the investigation leads to prosecution, the security deposit will be refunded to the applicant.
