Regulation 6: Steps importers must follow when amending registered project contracts and related licences or clearances
Regulation 6 governs amendments to contracts registered under the Project Imports Regulations, 1986. When such a contract is amended, the importer must apply to the proper officer for registration of the amendments, whether the original contract was registered before or after amendment. The application must include the original amending deed and a true copy, along with documents authorizing corresponding changes to the import trade control licence, where required. For imports under Open General Licence, clearance from the Directorate General of Technical Development or the concerned Administrative Ministry or Department must be obtained, with an attested list of relevant articles. Upon satisfaction, the proper officer records the amendments in the register.
