of <h1>Unpaid Service Tax Under Section 110 VCES Becomes Recoverable With Interest Using Finance Act Section 87 Powers</h1> Section 110 of the Finance Act, 2013, under the Service Tax Voluntary Compliance Encouragement Scheme, 2013, provides that if a declarant fails to pay, in whole or in part, the service tax dues declared under the scheme, the unpaid amount, along with applicable interest, becomes recoverable. Such recovery is to be effected in accordance with section 87 of the Finance Act, which empowers the authorities to use standard statutory recovery mechanisms to collect outstanding service tax liabilities and interest.
