Reservation protections preserved: rules do not affect concessions for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, ex servicemen per central orders. A saving clause preserves reservations, age relaxations and other concessions for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Ex Servicemen and other special categories; nothing in these Rules will operate to affect those benefits as required by orders issued by the Central Government from time to time.
