Advisory Boards on wages advise on minimum wage revision and women's employment with prescribed composition and procedures.

Section 42 requires the Central Government to constitute a Central Advisory Board with employer and equal employee representation, independent members not exceeding one-third, five State nominees, and one third women; an independent member shall chair. The Central Board advises on fixation or revision of minimum wages, increasing women's employment, restrictions on women's employment in notified establishments, and other Code matters; the Central Government may issue directions to States. State Advisory Boards with analogous composition, gender representation and chairing rules must advise on similar matters, may form committees, consider factors affecting women's employment, and enable State Governments to issue directions after considering representations.
