<h1>Income tax exemption under section 35AC: specified cancer treatment project and increased allowable project cost.</h1> The Central Government specifies the Gujarat Cancer Society's scheme for free cancer treatment at New Civil Hospital Campus, Asarwa, Ahmedabad as an eligible project under section 35AC and, following the National Committee's recommendation that the project is being properly executed, amends the earlier notification to enhance the maximum project cost allowed as a deduction under section 35AC by substituting the previously specified amount with a higher figure.
