of <h1>Government Extends Free Cancer Treatment Project Eligibility in Ahmedabad for Three More Years u/s 35AC.</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the project for free cancer treatment at New Civil Hospital Campus, Ahmedabad, managed by the Gujarat Cancer Society, under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved for three years starting from the assessment year 2001-02, and previously extended for another three years from 2004-05, the project is now specified for an additional three-year period commencing from the financial year 2006-07. The approved project cost remains unchanged at Rs. 611.00 lakhs, as recommended by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
