India Reimposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Hexamine Imports from Iran to Protect Domestic Industry Until March 2009
The Central Government of India has imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on all imports of Hexamine from Iran. This decision follows findings that Hexamine was being exported to India at below normal value, causing injury to the domestic industry. Initially, provisional duties were imposed, but after a price undertaking by an Iranian company was canceled, the investigation resumed, leading to the reimposition of duties. The duty rate is set at 107.28 USD per metric tonne and will be applicable until March 16, 2009, unless revoked earlier. Payments are to be made in Indian currency, with exchange rates determined by the Ministry of Finance.
