of <h1>India Amends Non-Basmati Rice Export Ban: 300,000 Metric Tons Allowed to Bangladesh at Concessional Cost, CIF-LO Basis</h1> The Government of India, through the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, has issued an amendment to the existing prohibition on the export of non-basmati rice. This amendment, effective immediately, allows for the export of 300,000 metric tons of non-basmati rice to Bangladesh under revised conditions. The term 'prevalent economic cost' is replaced with 'concessional cost,' and 'export on CIF basis' is changed to 'CIF-LO basis.' Other provisions from previous notifications remain unchanged.
