<h1>India Amends Foreign Trade Policy: Exports 300,000 Tonnes Parboiled Non-Basmati Rice to Bangladesh, Exempt from Export Ban</h1> The Government of India has amended its Foreign Trade Policy to allow the export of 300,000 tonnes of parboiled non-basmati rice to Bangladesh, exempting it from the existing export ban. This rice will be exported from the Central Pool at the current economic cost through the Food Corporation of India. The export will be carried out by two public sector undertakings, with 200,000 tonnes handled by STC and 100,000 tonnes by PEC Ltd. All other provisions of the previous notifications remain unchanged. This decision is made in the public interest.
