of <h1>India Amends Trade Policy: 300,000 Metric Tons of Non-Basmati Parboiled Rice to Bangladesh via Public Sector Undertakings</h1> The Government of India has amended its Foreign Trade Policy to allow the export of 300,000 metric tons of non-basmati parboiled rice to Bangladesh. This export will be conducted by two public sector undertakings (PSUs), with 200,000 metric tons managed by STC and 100,000 metric tons by PEC Ltd. The PSUs will procure the rice from the Food Corporation of India at concessional rates, and the Government of Bangladesh will cover additional costs such as freight and insurance. The Ministry of External Affairs will coordinate with Bangladesh regarding the designated PSUs and ensure compliance with existing guidelines. Other provisions of previous notifications remain unchanged.
