of <h1>India Lifts Wheat Export Ban for Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Maldives Under Special Exemption</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has issued a notification exempting the prohibition on wheat exports for specific cases. Under this exemption, 200,000 metric tons of wheat will be exported to Bangladesh via the Food Corporation of India. This export will be managed by two public sector undertakings, STC and PEC Ltd., each handling 100,000 metric tons. Additionally, exemptions also apply to exporting 250,000 metric tons of wheat to Afghanistan and 32,094.70 metric tons of wheat flour to the Maldives. These exports will be conducted from the Central Pool stock at economic cost, serving public interest.
