India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Korean Phosphoric Acid to Protect Domestic Industry; Valid for 5 Years.
The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has imposed a definitive anti-dumping duty on Phosphoric Acid of all grades and concentrations, excluding agricultural or fertilizer grades, originating from or exported by Korea RP. This decision follows findings that the product was exported to India at prices below normal value, causing material injury to the domestic industry due to significant dumping margins. The duty, set at USD 221.64 per metric ton, will be effective for five years from June 22, 2009, and will be payable in Indian currency, with exchange rates determined by the Customs Act of 1962.
