of <h1>Customs Notification Update: Exemptions Limited for Certain Countries, Duty Reduced to 16.5% for Specific Imports.</h1> Notification No. 77/99-Cus., dated June 25, 1999, amends previous customs notifications (Nos. 102/98-Cus., 108/98-Cus., and 109/98-Cus.) under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. The amendments specify that the exemptions in these notifications do not apply to imports from certain developing countries, excluding China, the Philippines, Singapore, and South Africa. Additionally, changes are made to the duty rate in Notification No. 108/98-Cus., reducing it from 20% to 16.5% for imports up to December 23, 1999. The amendments also incorporate provisions related to the Annual Advance Licence under the Export and Import Policy.
