of <h1>Anti-dumping duty of Rs. 2,990/ton on Russian PTFE to protect domestic industry, effective June 30 to Dec 29, 1999.</h1> The notification imposes an anti-dumping duty on Polytetraflouroethylene (PTFE) imported from Russia, as per the findings of the Designated Authority. The investigation concluded that PTFE from Russia was exported below normal value, causing injury to the domestic industry. Under the Customs Tariff Act and related rules, the Central Government mandates an anti-dumping duty of Rs. 2,990 per metric tonne on PTFE under sub-heading 3904.61. This duty is effective from June 30, 1999, until December 29, 1999, aiming to protect the domestic industry from unfair trade practices.
