<h1>RBI Updates Foreign Exchange Regulations: Export and Import Currency Limit Raised from Rs. 5000 to Rs. 7500, Regulation 3 Amended.</h1> The Reserve Bank of India issued amendments to the Foreign Exchange Management (Export and Import of Currency) Regulations, 2000, under the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999. Effective from their publication date, the amendments revise Regulation 3, sub-regulation (1), clauses (a) and (c), increasing the limit from Rs. 5000 to Rs. 7500. These changes are part of Notification No. FEMA 195/2009-RB, dated July 7, 2009, and were published in the Official Gazette.
