of <h1>India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Italian Acrylic Fibre Imports Under Customs Tariff Act, 1975 to Protect Domestic Industry</h1> The Central Government of India has imposed an anti-dumping duty on Acrylic Fibre imported from Italy, specifically those below 1.5 denier, under sub-headings 5501.30 or 5503.30 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. This decision follows findings that such imports were priced below normal value, causing injury to the domestic industry. The duty, effective from January 10, 2002, is set at $0.32 per kg for Montefibre, Italy, and $0.41 per kg for other Italian exporters. The applicable exchange rate for duty calculation will be determined by the Ministry of Finance's notifications.
