of <h1>Government restricts Certificate of Inspection for rice HSN 1006 exports to EU and specified European countries; six-month exemption elsewhere</h1> The government amends export policy under HSN 1006 to restrict the Certificate of Inspection requirement for rice (Basmati and Non-Basmati) exports to EU member states and the European countries United Kingdom, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland; exports to other European countries are exempt from the Certificate of Inspection for six months from the notification's date, until 02 April 2026. The amendment takes effect immediately and modifies the prior notification's policy conditions accordingly.
