of <h1>Government limits mandatory Export Inspection Council certificate for rice under Schedule II of ITC(HS) 2022 to EU, UK and EEA</h1> The Central Government amends the export-policy condition for rice (Basmati and non-Basmati) under Schedule II of the ITC(HS) 2022, effective immediately, by limiting the mandatory Certificate of Inspection from the Export Inspection Council/Export Inspection Agencies to exports destined for EU member states and the United Kingdom, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. Exports to other European countries are exempt from the certificate requirement for six months from the notification date, i.e., until 09.09.2025, pursuant to powers under the Foreign Trade Act and Policy.
