<h1>Central Government rescinds May 4 2009 SEZ notification for 14.2903 hectares after applicant request and recommendations</h1> The Central Government rescinds its May 4, 2009 notifications that had designated 14.2903 hectares in specified Bangalore villages as a sector-specific SEZ for IT/ITES. The original applicant has proposed de-notification of the entire area, the State government issued a no-objection on July 5, 2025, and the Development Commissioner recommended de-notification. Pursuant to the Special Economic Zones Act and Rules, the rescission is effected under the relevant provision, with the rescission not affecting actions already done or omissions prior to this rescission.
