of <h1>Ministry Approves New SEZ for IT and ITES in Bangalore, Spanning Over 14 Acres Under SEZ Act, 2005</h1> The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Information Technology and IT Enabled Services in Mahadevpura and Kaggadaspura, K.R. Puram, Whitefield, Bangalore, Karnataka. Proposed by a private organization, the SEZ spans 14.2903 acres, with specific survey numbers designated for Mahadevpura and Kaggadaspura. The Central Government, satisfied with the compliance of the requirements under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, issued a letter of approval on July 3, 2007, and now officially notifies the area as an SEZ under the Act and relevant rules.
