Para 2.03(A)(i)(g) removes 180-day export-obligation for mandatory QCO imports; Advance Authorisations adopt Para 4.40 eighteen-month EO
The government amended Para 2.03(A)(i)(g) of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023 to remove the 180-day export-obligation restriction for imports subject to mandatory Quality Control Orders and align the EO period with Para 4.40 of the Handbook of Procedures. As a result, the export-obligation period for such imports under Advance Authorisations (including EOU and SEZ beneficiaries) has been extended from six months to eighteen months, and all Advance Authorisation holders must now follow the EO timeline prescribed in Para 4.40.
