<h1>India Amends Export Rules: 55,000 MT Non-Basmati Rice to Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Cameroon Until July 2009</h1> The Government of India has amended Notification No. 93(RE-2007)/2004-2009, originally dated April 1, 2008, regarding the export of non-basmati rice. The amendment allows the export of specified quantities of non-basmati rice to Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, and Cameroon, with a total of 55,000 MTs, through the State Trading Corporation of India until July 30, 2009. The rice must be sourced from rice mills with surplus stock, contain a minimum of 25% brokens, and be procured from multiple states in four tranches. Other provisions of the original notification remain unchanged.
