<h1>Government Restricts Premium Duck Meat Imports for 3-Star and Above Hotels; Other Imports Remain Free.</h1> The Central Government has amended the import policy for duck meat under ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule-I. Imports of premium duck meat under ITC(HS) codes 02074200 and 02074500, intended for supply to 3-Star and above operational hotels, are now classified as 'Restricted' according to the Department of Animal Husbandry and Department of Revenue notifications. Other imports under these codes remain 'Free.' This change aligns with the Ministry of Tourism's standards and is effective as per the notifications issued in February and March 2024. The amendment has been approved by the Minister of Commerce & Industry.
