of <h1>Import cap and port restrictions for 12 lakh tonnes crushed, de-oiled GM soya cake eased until 31 January 2022</h1> Condition 6(b) in the General Notes regarding Import Policy under ITC(HS) 2017, Schedule I (Imports) is relaxed by providing that it shall not apply to imports of up to 12 lakh metric tonnes of crushed and de-oiled GM soya cake (non-living organism only) under ITC(HS) 23040020 and 23040030, permitted only through specified sea ports and land customs/railway stations, up to 31 January 2022 or until further orders, whichever is earlier. CBIC is required to ensure strict quantity monitoring at the designated ports so the aggregate import cap is not exceeded.
