Patel Sarvajanik Hospital Project u/s 35AC of Income-tax Act.</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the maintenance project for S.J. Patel Sarvajanik Hospital in Gujarat, managed by Gramya Vikas Mandal, as an eligible project under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act. Initially specified in 1995 and extended in 1997, the project is now approved for an additional three years starting from the assessment year 2002-2003. The maximum allowable project cost has been amended from Rs. 10.66 lakhs to Rs. 41.50 lakhs, following the National Committee's recommendation, acknowledging the project's proper execution and anticipated extension beyond six years.
