of <h1>India Amends Foreign Trade Policy to Allow Duty-Free Import of Oxygen Concentrators as Gifts Until July 31, 2021.</h1> The Central Government has amended Para 2.25 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2015-2020 to allow the import of oxygen concentrators for personal use through post, courier, or e-commerce portals as gifts, exempt from customs clearance, until July 31, 2021. This is in addition to the existing exemptions for life-saving drugs, medicines, and Rakhi (excluding gifts related to Rakhi). The amendment specifies that Rakhi is covered under Section 25(6) of the Customs Act, 1962, which exempts duty collection if the duty amount is Rs. 100 or less. Import of goods as gifts with full applicable duties is still permitted.
