India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Chinese Strontium Carbonate to Protect Domestic Industry; Effective Until June 2001.

The Central Government of India has imposed anti-dumping duties on Strontium Carbonate imported from the People's Republic of China, following findings that the product was being sold in India below its normal value, causing material injury to the domestic industry. The duty is set at USD 291.76 per metric tonne and is effective until June 25, 2001. The applicable rate of exchange for calculating the duty will be determined by the Government of India's notifications and will be based on the date the bill of entry is presented under the Customs Act, 1962.
