of <h1>India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Chinese Strontium Carbonate to Protect Domestic Industry; Duty Retroactive from Dec 26, 2000.</h1> The Central Government of India has imposed an anti-dumping duty on Strontium Carbonate imported from the People's Republic of China. This decision follows findings that the product was exported to India below its normal value, causing material injury to the domestic industry through reduced market share and financial losses. The duty, set at US $213.37 per metric tonne, is applied retroactively from December 26, 2000, and must be paid in Indian currency. The exchange rate for calculating the duty will be determined by the rate specified by the Ministry of Finance at the time of the bill of entry presentation.
